Mitch Polzak Rocks the KRSH!

Updated: Oct 18

Polzak plays the Krush radio station Backyard Concert Series of 2024.

This tall (6'5"), lean, and stunningly handsome musician played a show at the KRSH backyard during the summer, presented by Big Dave’s Rockabilly Roadhouse. I always make sure I attend all of Big Dave's specialty shows at the station. Big Dave hosts at least one show per summer. I usually know of the performer or the music being highlighted, but with this one I knew nothing of Mitch Polzak. However, with Big Dave's insistance I made sure I attended this one and I am so glad I did!

When I arrived at the station, before I met Mitch I was told he's 'kinda cute.' (Apparently Mindi was 'playing with me' when she used that description ;)). Then we met, there was nothing 'kinda' about his stunningly handsome appearance, not to mention his smile and his open, present and kind demeanor. (Pictured below - For height reference...I'm about 5'5".)

I may have been the only one there who hadn't heard of him or his music before. But now I have and I can honestly say, I am now a fan, both of his music and his lovely self.

Formed in 1999, Mitch Polzak & The Royal Deuces, has been in the business of rock n roll for a quarter of a century. And he's thrilled to be doing this for his 'day job'! His first band was with his brother Nick, and was called,The Polzak Bros/Pine Mountain Boys. Sometimes Nick joins Mitch onstage and the two couldn't be happier doing what they love and doing it together occasionally makes it all the happier.

When I chatted with Mitch it was apparent that's this is where he belongs. And I pointed out his cool guitar that was also being admired by all the guitar enthusiasts I knew in the KRSH audience that evening...Mitch said, 'ya, if I sound bad it's my fault - it will have nothing to do with this guitar!' He rocked it at the KRSH to a grateful audience and after the show he hung around to chat with anyone who wanted to do so. Great guy, fab music and an all around great evening of live music at the Krush!
