The Life of Cheryl Alterman Being a Music Photographer

Hello music lovers!  Hoping Spring of 2024 is bringing music, joy and sunshine to all. Lots of upcoming concerts happening from now through the summer as usual.

Bruce Springsteen has finally made his way back on tour after his bout with stomach ulcers. I've seen Springsteens' live shows for 48 years, and I can absolutely say, without a doubt, that even if you don't like his music he is the top of the top when it comes to live shows. In all the live Springsteen shows I've seen of his, both here and across the pond, I've never seen any artist top him for a better live performance.

Other good shows to look out for in Northern California...Jimmy Messina, of Loggins and Messina is playing again in Oakland at Yoshi's. Always a good show if you like L & M or Poco.  If laughter is your thing....The top funny guy himself, Jerry Seinfeld will be at the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa. As well as Chelsea Handler (playing separately, of course). If you're around Sonoma County on April 7, check out the Peacetown event at the Hopmonk, in Sebastopol. Many local bands will be playing throughout the day.  If you're a Justin Timberlake fan you can catch him at SAP.  Marcus King will be at the Masonic and a Vai & Satriani show is coming to the LBC.  On May 14 at The Chapel in SF, a friends' band (from Passenger Recovery, Detroit) called Electric Six is happening. And big drumroll... Pearl Jam is coming to Napa Valley in May.

Look out for lots more live music happening all over the Bay Area, where we are rich with this everyday. Look for listings in JamBase or where ever you find your live music listings.

As always, remember..."Life is short...break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, meditate often, be kind to each other, and never regret anything that made you smile". And of course...see live music!

With peace, love, art and music,

Cheryl   ❤️🎵
