Summertime Concerts and Technical Difficulties...

As summer approaches and concert season is starting to bloom, The Music Soup wants to wish it's readers a happy and safe live music season. There are lots of concerts and festivals coming and I look forward to bringing you as many as I can here, in The Music Soup.

This coming weekend we have Bottlerock and Strawberry Music Festival, both happening on the same weekend. This summer we look forward to so many artists touring around including Ringo, RUSH, Bob Dylan, Black Keys, Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart, Chris Stapleton, Howard Jones, AC/DC, Marilyn Manson, Sarah Mclaughlan, Santana, Lionel Ritchie, and fab festivals such as Mosswood Meltdown, and Country Summer. So many live shows...way too many to name. Just google concerts in your town and you'll see a plethora of good ones coming to your area.

As we know, so many rockstars are aging out, sadly, but this is life. Paul McCartney is 83 years old for goodness sake!!! See your faves before they leave us for good. Another idea, I suggest is perhaps hitting some shows that you don't know the artist perfoming and you may find a new favorite to add to your playlist. Or hit a smaller local venue, and see what you can find.

The Music Soup will do what we can to continue providing you with galleries of photos and reviews of the shows we hit. Whether they be local or large events. We exist because we know that some of you may have health or financial issues that prevent you from going to shows and that's why we try our best to share our meanderings in the live music world. We also know that concerts have becomeVERY expensive, (kinda like gasoline today.) So they may not be as accessible as they once were. That's another reason we are so happy to bring the live music magic straight to your device. Whether its your health, or money or maybe you're in an area where no music comes to - we are happy to bring live music to you.

On another note, I've been dealing with some technical difficulties...I want to express my deepest appreciation to those of you who have donated to us, or have tried to donate to The Music Soup this past year. Today for several hours I dealt with something that saddened me. Apparentley, in the last year, several of The Music Soup readers have tried to donate to us but their donations have been returned due to a technical difficulty on our end. Today a friend brought this to my attention as he tried to donate and his donation was declined and returned. Thankfully he called me as soon as it occurred and I sorted it out with my provider. They admitted it was their fault and corrected the issue. I want to take this opportunity to thank those who have tried to donate, only to have your generosity returned. I don't have all of your details otherwise I would have sent personal thank yous to each of you. Instead, I want to express my deep appreciation for your generosity and kindness for trying to help us out with your donations...Your generosity does not go unappreciated.

And to all our readers, thank you for following The Music Soup and staying with us as we grow. We are now reaching so many countries, towns and cities...many of which I have never even heard of. This warms my heart. Apart from what is our main subject of live music, we also get emails from recovering addicts sharing their journeys of recovery due to reading the few articles and resources I have shared about my personal journey in recovery. Wishing those recovering addicts, much healing, health and strength, as recovery may be one of the hardest and healthiest things you can do for yourself.
This link is a song by my dear friends, The Musers. It's a beautiful song of healing and support around recovery from alcohol addiction. Please have a listen and enjoy! Please hit subscribe as this video and hundreds more live on The Music Soup Video You Tube channel.

And, as always, be kind to each other. Love with your whole heart. Forgive and apologise easily. Hear and be heard. Connect. And never regret anything that made you smile.
With love and gratitude, (and always turn up the volume on that music!)
