Dylan Black Project plays on a Funky Friday at the Hood!

Hood Mansion is a lovely location for a concert. And the concert series, "Funky Fridays" runs this year, 2023, from June 2 - July 28, 6-9 p m. This series of shows take place in a serene location at Hood Mountain Regional Park. Bring low back chairs or blankets to sit on.

I went to see The Dylan Black Project last month and this three piece was excellent as usual. It was especially nice to see, as the backdrop, a tribute to Sonoma Countys' beloved blues musician and all around beautiful human, Levi Lloyd.

The Dylan Black Project is led by another wonderful Sonoma County musician, Terry Sanders. This band is a mix of Funk, Blues, and Rock-n-Roll. The DBP takes you on a journey back into time. To the days of the Midnight Special. Where musicians truly engage in the craft of making music. Blending raw nasty funk grooves with finger popping R&B and amazing musicianship by all three members. Giving a big sound to a mere trio, plus harmonica player, Randall Sequeira. The main trio consists of Terry Sanders on guitar, Greg Saunders on drums, and bass player Elmar Kurgpold. If you like good music to get you up and dancing, this is the band to see. This is not yacht rock or soothing singer songwriter melodies, and it's also NOT metal...in my opinion it's good rockin bluesy R&B...if you like music to get your toes tapping...then I suggest catching the Dylan Black Project.
