An Awesome Triple Pairing

In the late eighties, three bands were formed. In 2026 all three played in the North Bay on one stage at the beautiful Green Music Center at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. The Green Center has both indoor and outdoor areas to view the show from. And the interior of venue itself is stunning.
The show opened with the Spin Doctors. This band had a massive hit in 1991 with 'Pocket Full of Kryptonite'. They had a handful of other tunes that got a decent amount of airplay but 'Pocket Full of Kryptonite' was definitley their biggest hit. They released 6 albums until 2005 and have been touring ever since.
They played a great set and towards the end of their set, something that I had never seen before took place...The next band was transitioning to play as the Spin Doctors were playing. And as this was occurring it looked like the next band, Blues Traveler would be joining the Spin Doctors. Essentially they kinda did join for the last song or two. But what they were doing is slowly transitioning into their own set until the members of the Spin Doctors vanished from the stage in a similar manner of the Blues Traveler creeping onto the stage and joining the Spin Doctors in the last couple songs. I thought it was genius! At one point both bands drummers played side by side, (which is always amazing to me). But this transition was super cool to watch.
Then the Blues Traveler were all onstage and the Spin Doctors finished. The Blues Traveler played their set, and played their hits from the mid nineties including Run Around. Strong set and the audience seemed to really enjoy them.
Then came Gin Blossoms. Great band from Tempe Arizona. They formed in 1987 and rose to fame with their hit, 'Hey Jealousy' in 1992. The single went gold and the album, 'New Miserable Experience' went quadruple platinum. Their album, 'As long as it Matters' was nominated for a Grammy in 1996. During that time they had a handful of hits and they eventually broke up in 1997. In 2001 they reunited and have released more albums since. All three bands put on a great show and the Green Music Center was packed! I thought the pairing of these three bands together worked super well. And truly....the Green Music Center at Sonoma State is such a gorgeous venue, you cannot go wrong by attending events at this place. As always, be kind to each other especially in these troubled times. Love with your whole heart. Forgive and apologise easily. Make amends. Connect with each other. Greet each day with love in your heart. And never regret anything that made you smile. Remember...life is short and gets shorter each day.
