My Sobriety Birthday, and Using Music as a Higher Power.
If you're a music lover, and even if you aren't, we all have a soundtrack of our lives. It may include TV commercial music beds, adverts, or simply the most spins from any top billboard charts on any number of radio stations that may have been playing within earshot. Some of us remember what song was on the air when we fell in love for that first time or what music played when we were heartbroken or when someone close to us died. Music can be a memory for so many occasions. T


Adventures at NAMM '26
Every year when I attend the NAMM Show, I have a very different experience. And whether I go there with someone or on my own also changes the flavor of the weekend. This year, whilst contemplating my NAMM '26 adventure, to sum it up, I'd say it was all about people connections. Some of my NAMM friends that I see every year were not in attendance for one reason or another, and some that I haven't seen for several years were there. End of Year Wrap Up...
Happy New Year from The Music Soup! Although I'm not sad to see the back end of 2025, I'd like to mention some high points of my year. One of them at the top was absolutely without a doubt September 21st at Shoreline Amphitheater, covering The Who's farewell show . Standing a couple feet in front of Roger and Pete for the entire show will be one of the fondest memories of my life.
